General Rules
  • Rosters of teams will be given to the League Director. Players shall not change from one roster to another unless approved by the League Director. Failure to abide by this rule will result in forfeiture of games involving those players.
  • Complete uniforms are not allowed. League provided uniform shirts and caps only.
  • Seven players must be present to start a game, unless both coaches agree otherwise. A game is declared a forfeit fifteen minutes after the scheduled starting time.
  • Free (football) substitution is allowed defensively.
  • All players must be included in the set batting order.
  • All players must play a minimum of two full innings (6 outs) in the field.
  • A full game consists of 6 innings, with 3 full innings constituting an official game if weather conditions, darkness, or the time prohibits further play.
  • There will be eight (8) runs maximum allowed per team per inning.
  • Ground rules should be discussed with the umpire before the game.
  • Players throwing bats or helmets will be ejected from the game based on umpire’s discretion.
  • The League Director shall cancel games due to inclement weather or unplayable fields. If possible, the decision to play will be made one hour prior to the start of the game. Once a game begins, rainouts will be called by the umpire.
  • Rainouts will not be made up.
  • The winning coach must report the score within 48 hours to the League Director or the game will be registered as a tie.
  • The League Director may call a game at any time.
  • A maximum of 3 coaches are allowed on the field or in the bench area during the game.
  • Use of alcohol and any tobacco products are prohibited on or near baseball fields.
  • Coaches should meet before the game to exchange batting orders.
  • Players that show up late for the game will be placed at the end of the batting order.
  • Coaches will not be allowed on the playing field during a game with the exception of talking to or changing pitchers. Coaches may pull players from the game at any time.
  • Arguing discretionary calls by the umpire is forbidden. Coaches and players that do not comply shall be subject to expulsion from the league after reviewed by the League Director.
  • Any harassment (whether verbal or physical, overt or implied) of umpires is forbidden. Coaches and players who do not comply shall be subject to expulsion from the league after review by the league director. It is the coach’s responsibility to ensure that the parents and fans comply, also. Failure to do so can result in ejection from that game and the next scheduled game and forfeiture of the game based on umpire decision.
  • Disagreement of league rules during the game shall be jointly resolved by both head coaches and the umpire. The umpire shall make the final decision.
  • Any player that intimidates another player shall be ejected from the game based on umpire’s discretion.
  • The following are important SAFETY rules:
    1. Base runners must make every effort to avoid colliding with fielders. Barreling is not allowed. Fielders must not block runners from base paths without possession of the ball.
    2. A batter shall be called out if he takes his place in the batters box without a helmet. This helmet must be worn by the player at all times while he is on the field of play. The helmet must never be thrown in the air or bounced along the ground.
    3. Shoes with metal cleats are not allowed.
    4. Bases will not be anchored. Therefore this shall be a judgment call that cannot be appealed.
    5. The catcher must use a helmet, mask, throat protector, chest protector, shin guards, and cup.
    6. Only baseball bats are to be used. Softball bats are not allowed.
    7. No on deck batters allowed.
    8. No practice swings may be taken by any player until they have entered the batter's box on the field.
